Visa Types

TOURIST VISA

If you study for 6 months or less, you can normally enter and study with a tourist visa.

STUDENT VISA (STUDY PERMIT)

A student visa is required to study for more than 6 months. A letter of acceptance issued by the school is required as a condition for applying for a student visa.

CO-OP VISA

A Co-op visa is a visa that you can apply for by enrolling in a school program that requires an internship. This visa has no age limit and is a popular program for those who have exceeded the age limit for working holiday visas or who are considering extending their stay there.

WORKING HOLIDAY VISA

A Working Holiday Visa can be obtained for one year only between the ages of 18 and 30. You can attend a language school for up to 6 months, or you can work full-time while attending school. However, you can only get it once in your lifetime.

WORK VISA (WORK PERMIT)

Work visa or work permit is a visa that you can apply for after graduating from university or college. The difference from a working holiday visa is that you cannot attend school. In Canada, you can apply for a three-year work visa after completing a two-year or longer program.
